About the Project

Site has commissioned a project using the developing web technology Augmented Reality. AR takes elements of a real-world environment and augments them using computer generated imagery. In this case Sarah Staton’s sculptural works will be recreated virtually by Chris Hodson to become visible in and around the gallery through the screen of a smartphone or ipod touch when gallery visitors navigate the physical fabric of the building. No need for a smartphone, you will also be able to borrow an iPod touch from the gallery reception to experience the work. Look out for it in the New Year
